“Studies are confirming that plant based eating is not only nutritionally sufficient, but also a way to reduce the risk for many chronic diseases” – Havard Medical School
At a high level, the food you eat should be whole plant-based foods. This means whole vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds. Highly refined processed foods should be avoided or minimized (this includes foods made with white flour, white sugar, white rice, vegetable oils and added salt). Contrary to what many people believe, a whole food plant based lifestyle provides superior nutrients, including healthy sources of protein. This is protein enriched with vitamins, minerals and fiber and void of high amounts of saturated fats and cholesterol, all in a complete and healthy package. What more could you ask for?
