Whole Food Plant Based Diet

A Whole Food Plant Based Diet (Lifestyle) is centered around eating fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, herbs, nuts and seeds. It is focused on eating unrefined foods in their natural state, with minimal processing.  Whole food plant based diets exclude or minimize meat (including chicken), dairy products, and eggs, as well as oil and any highly processed food products.

At Health and Food Matters we don’t like to call it a diet as much as a lifestyle. The word diet typically makes one feel like they’re lacking something, but with a whole food plant based lifestyle you can eat as much as you like and try new foods and flavors you never knew existed, all while enhancing your health. This lifestyle is proven to reduce cholesterol, lower blood pressure, aid weight loss, reverse diabetes and heart disease and slow or even halt cancer progression. Not a believer, check out the Research for yourself. But don’t take our word for it, try it and you’ll see and feel the difference.
